FEMA COVID-19 Resources
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought overwhelming grief to many families. At FEMA, our mission is to help people before, during and after disasters. We are dedicated to helping ease some of the financial stress and burden caused by the virus. FEMA began accepting applications for Funeral Assistance on Monday, April 12th through our dedicated call center. In the meantime, people who have COVID-19 funeral expenses are encouraged to keep and gather documentation.

Emergency Food and Shelter Program supplements and expands ongoing work of local social service organizations, both nonprofit and governmental, to provide shelter, food and supportive services to individuals, families, and households who have economic, non-disaster related emergencies. EFSP funding is open to all organizations helping individuals, families, and households who are experiencing, or at risk of, food insecurity and/or homelessness.
